MRF Gives Evidence To Parliamentary Committee

MRF chair, Ian Russell was part of a panel giving oral evidence to the Joint pre-legislative scrutiny Committee on the Draft Online Safety Bill.

The discussion was wide-ranging and informative, and it is hoped that the process of pre-legislative scrutiny will speed the Bill’s progress through Parliament. The Committee is due to report before the 10th December 2021.

MRF hopes that this ground-breaking legislation will help deliver the Government’s promise of making the UK the safest place in the world to be online and in doing so, protect young and vulnerable people from online harms.
