Signposting young people to vital support

We know that young people often look online to find sources of mental health support, our Help Cards offer a real-life alternative that can be picked up in person and kept as a physical reminder that support is always there if they need it.

These pocket-sized cards have been designed as a quick and handy resource that signposts to vital mental health support services. The cards can be used by anyone but are especially for young people to discretely pick up and access support.

If you work with young people or are connected to groups and organisations that do, you can order as many boxes as you need for free by completing the form below.

Testimonials

Here are some examples of how people are currently using our help cards

I can’t begin to describe the impact these cards are having on the young people I work with, thank you so much.

Our children are vulnerable and online issues are sadly a shared experience. I would like to distribute these cards amongst our members and also at schools where our children attend.

I work with schools to support teachers with students who are self harming or have suicidal ideation; these cards are a great resource to offer to them. (School support services)

I found them really useful to have around school so that children were freely able to take them after a whole school discussion. Thank you. (School)

Great in this day and age when school budgets are inadequate to get a free resource. Thank you
(School)

We share your cards with professionals across Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire area, especially school, college, and charity staff. We also provide every young person who attends a service one of your cards.

(For) my son’s school. I was shocked at how little they have in place, they have physical first aiders but not mental health and very little resources or support.
(Parent)

I will use these cards as part of our hopebox sessions creating crisis boxes to help support those having thoughts of suicide.

We have many children who attend our volunteer-run club. Whilst I don’t know whether any are despairing, if distributing these cards helps just one of them, it will have been worthwhile. I think your foundation, and it’s founder, are inspirational. (Youth club)

I am a social worker and would like these to share with colleagues so we can give them out to clients.
