2026 is the first time Molly Rose Foundation will have a team of runners in the London Marathon and we’re proud to support their journey and share their stories with you.
Pete Aitken, a dad from Surrey and his son Matt will be running the London Marathon in memory of their daughter and sister Hannah.
Hannah Aitken took her own life in 2023 at the age of 22, and her family, dad Pete, mum Amanda and brother Matt, have campaigned ever since to protect young people like her from the harms that led to her death.
Pete wanted to run the London Marathon to give back to Molly Rose Foundation for the support he and his family have received.
He said: “Without Molly Rose Foundation, Hannah would have just been another statistic. They made it possible for us to raise awareness about the harms that led to Hannah’s death.”

Amy, Olivia, Ben, and Joe are fundraising as a Team from Forest House.
Pete and Matt are father and son running in memory of Hannah, their daughter and sister.
Malachy, Eoin, Cian, Miles, and Paul are fundraising together as a Team from Carne Group.
Alice and Rebecca are running in memory of their sister Molly.

If you’re thinking of running for Molly Rose Foundation in 2027 the TCS London Marathon ballot opens at 09:00 Friday 24 April 2026 and closes at 16:00 Friday 1 May 2026. The ballot results will be announced by early July (the 2027 event date has been confirmed for Sunday 25 April 2027).
