Coffee for Molly, a conversation-starting event held during the week of what would have been Molly Russell’s 21st birthday is well underway.
Participating coffee shops have generously agreed to host events where the main focus is to start people talking about mental health, spread the word about the Molly Rose Foundation and the sources of help available to anyone struggling.
MRF merchandise in the form of coffee mats, coffee cup sleeves and posters, flyers and motivational messages were distributed to outlets from November 23, with the initiative running until December 1.
A spokesperson for the Coffee For Molly project team said: “Molly loved making Coffee, not only for herself but for her friends. We are delighted to launch this event that combines that love of coffee with the power of just making time to sit with someone and start a conversation around mental wellbeing.
“At the heart of the programme is the Coffee for Molly philosophy. Make time, Open a conversation, Listen, Let them talk, You’re making a difference. MOLLY.”
